The purpose of education on a global perspective is in shaping the student for tomorrow’s challenges in technological, economical, social, environmental, health, political, moral and other issues the nations are going to face as solution providers and leaders of tomorrow.

Students will be living in a world different from the one they now occupy, and schools should enable them to deal with that world. Schools have a vital role to play in preparing our young people to take their place as informed, engaged, and empowered citizens who will be pivotal in shaping the future of our communities, our province, our country, and our global environment.

As unassailable as such an idea appears, who among us can tell what the future will look like? Projections about lifestyles, social arrangements, and problems that will be encountered are notoriously difficult.

From my perspective, we can best prepare the students for the future by enabling them to deal effectively with the present. This is where we are focusing.

What I desire is an education process that is genuinely meaningful to students, challenging them with problems and ideas that they find both interesting and intellectually demanding. I want to assess that process by the depth of its engagement in students’ lives.

We need a radically different conception of what matters in education. Test scores need to take a back seat to more educationally significant outcomes. As long as schools treat test scores as the major proxies for student achievement and educational quality, we will have a hard time refocusing our attention on what really matters in education.

The primary aim of education is not to enable students to do well in school, but to help them do well in the lives they lead outside of school. We ought to focus on what students do when they can choose their own activities.

Not for the past but ever for the future, looking out of the window, what is going on globally and framing a pattern to supersede and simplified concept understandable pedagogy with the involvement of every individual student, and looking out from the students of their own imagination of ideas and applications in the field of Math’s, Science, Social and Language will definitely take the children to a higher level of thinking.

Evaluation should always be for encouragement, never to condemn.

We like to see children planned, purposed and pointed for what they are preferred. This brings perfection and professionalism in their position.

Sun Shine Public School is dedicated to excellence in all the work that it does, with the aim of enabling our students to develop as rounded individuals who can thrive in an increasingly complex and uncertain world.

Our core focus is delivering high quality academic programs that will enable students to achieve their intellectual potential and have greater choice in their lives beyond school, including access to the best colleges.

As the challenges of the world become more complex, our school aims to equip the next generation with the skills and personal qualities that will not only enable them to flourish in a challenging environment, but also equip them to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Across the curriculum and within the curricular program we foster the qualities of:

Respect, Caring, International mindedness, Life-long learning, Critical thinking, Creativity, Leadership, Communication, Self-confidence, and Empathy.

At Sun Shine Public School we invest considerable resources in student welfare programs. We believe that when a student feels safe and their emotional needs recognized and met, they are in the best place to access the opportunities for learning and personal growth.

We believe that school should give students the chance to discover their talents and experience success. When a student experiences success in the arts or in sports, this enhances self-esteem and supports their achievements in other areas.

Therefore, the School offers a wide range of co-curricular activities, which challenges our students and exposes them to new experiences, environments and cultures.

We believe that Sun Shine Public School offers an outstanding school experience, which our students will cherish for the rest of their lives.
